Overview:

This course is designed to prevent burnout in those working in health care and social services.  Providing care requires compassion which is emotionally exhausting.  We will discuss methods of how to prevent burnout.  We also will discuss strategies on how to examine, diagnosis, and treat emotional exhaustion.

  • Define burnout
  • Understand the Frank-Starling mechanism
  • Learn character archetypes
  • Understand what happens in the body also happens in organizations
  • Understand strategies for life balance
  • Learn how to do a Genogram and how it can be a useful tool

Recovery Centers of America has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7002. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.
